born in 1993, has been taking cello lessons since 2012 with Christoph Möller at the Music School in Schöneck-Nidderau. In 2012 she began her Bachelor of Music at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, Frankfurt (HfMDK), studying with Prof. Susanne Müller-Hornbach, from whom she had already received tuition as a junior student. Additionally Nagel is studying Chamber Music with Prof. Angelika Merkle and is attending masterclasses led by Stephan Schrader, Prof. Gerhard Mantel and Prof. Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt.
She has won several prizes at both “Jugend Musiziert” (Youth Make Music), where she claimed the national prize in 2007, and also at the “Willy-Bissing” competition.
She is a member of the Young German Philharmomic, the Chamber Philarmonic Frankfurt and since 2009 has held a regular assistance at the Chamber Opera Frankfurt. Concert tours with orchestras and with her cello quartet “Cellharmonic” have taken her to numerous European countries.
Larissa Nagel plays Chamber Music from all epochs in varying ensemble constellations, and occasionally also in combination with Rock/Pop and Jazz music.
